"I saw Dr Malik after being admitted to Saint Mary’s Medical Center. From the moment he walked into my room, I could tell he did not want to be there. He asked very few questions and did the absolute bare minimum. Listened to my heart and lungs and left the room. He has been dismissive, not just of my pain, just in general. I will refuse treatment from him if I ever get assigned to his care in the future. I could tell this was not new behavior. I was under his care for several days despite him trying to discharge me prior to a diagnosis being found. The nurses never said anything directly but it was clear he is not well liked. I am an oncology patient whose cancer has spread throughout my body. I would rather not get treatment over having him be my physician. I’ve never met a more rude medical “professional”"
"Dr Malik and his staff have been incredibly kind and helpful. He was my doctor while I was in the hospital and has continued to care for me. He is welcoming and easy to speak with. I’ve seen people write negative reviews about his hours of operation but I believe they are ignorant to the fact that he also works many hours in the hospital helping those in greater need of help. I wish more doctors were like him."
"There are always problems with perscriptions that are for insulin and supplies. The phramacy says its the Dr office so we call and they say they will take care of it. This happens repeatedly and considering perscriptions wont get refilled until your out this is a serious situation for a nonverbal individual who has signifigant cognative impairments. The office appears never to be concerned they do not check his log book of his sugar levels but will just switch his doeses . No one in the office checks his feet or does a through physical. Basically they collect the insurance money ask him how he is doing. My brother will almost always just respnd good or yeah but often it is not accurate. As this was one of the few drs willing to take my brother as a patient with his medical we do not have other choices. But if ever I see in some way gross negligence on their part that adversely affects his health I will make sure they are accountable for not fullfilling their jobs. I HOPE THEIR OFFICE READS THIS AND BEGINs ACTING LIKE THE PROFESSIONALS THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE."
"This physician is a godsend. I have recently moved back to this area. I ended up in the hospital. Dr. Malik saw me the next day. From the moment I walked into his office I was treated with kindness, caring and compassion. Written over a door at Dr. Albert Switzer's medical clinic a sign states "Here at whatever hour you come you will find light, and help and human kindness. Here I found all three. Thank you Dr. Malik"
"Where do I start? First off the man keeps horrible hours and they never answer the phone or call you back if you leave a message. The waiting room is always jam packed with people and you have to wait up to an hour for him to see you because he’s always overbooked. He doesn’t listen to what you say to him because he isn’t interested he just wants to see as many people as possible and collect his money. I went to him for 2 years and told him I have been having problems with my back so I needed a referral for an x Ray. He just kept telling me I had to lose weight. I never had back problems before and I’m not very overweight. All he wanted to do was proscribe me opiates and tell me I was fat. So I went to urgent care and they did an x ray on me on the spot and at this point I could barely walk. I had a fracture in my spine. Go figure. I go back To Malik and he said no they’re wrong. He preceded to tell me where my problem was in my back with a model of a leg. This man is a joke and I believe so many people go there because he just proscribes pills and moves along because that’s all they want is the pills."
