"Okay, so I walk into the Lock Doctor, carrying my little fire/security lockbox. It has a battery operated keypad, with a key backup in case the battery dies. I had the cylinder rekeyed about a year ago and since then, couldn’t get the keys to work. I placed it on the counter, couldn’t get the keypad to work. The very nice, young lady behind the counter pointed out that it was upside down, (I didn’t have my glasses on). I explained the problem and she, very graciously and patiently explained that it wasn’t the key or the cylinder, but the idiot turning the key, me! She then, again very patiently, gave me a lesson on key turning! She could have said to leave it, she could have said it needed rekeying or a cylinder replacement, but she displayed honesty and integrity, which are very important to me. She said there was no charge, even though I took up her time. She wouldn’t even take a cup of coffee. May God bless her always!"

"They showed up exactly when they said they would. The locksmith also got the job done extremely fast, which is great. However, I got charged an arm and a leg for a 5 min fix. If the price wasn’t as high as it was for such a quick simple job, I would have rated higher. The work excellent, the price... not so much. Update, While I do not appreciate the condescending and passive aggressive questions in a reply from a vendor, I will add 1 star for accuracy of job. The question...pertaining to if charge was indicative of an hours worth of work or 10 minutes of work... If a job is charged for x price for 10 minutes should you spend 1 hr to validate a charge? No, the question should then be posed, if you charge x for a service and validate the time should the 5 min job then be adjusted according to work performed. How about adjusting for travel distance, time spent and completeness. Validate your service by quality of work, not validating expenses. Sample response. "Boyfriend locked the keys in the car. We were at Famous Smoke Shop luckily I asked Sean if he knew anyone in the area who could help us out. Kindly assisted us and called Bill who came within 20 minutes or so. Got the job done quickly and since we called after hours helped us with an affordable price.
