"stay away. stay away. stay way. a dr keller would not see me because he thinks he already referred me to a spine and pain specialist in this practice for this injury. however, that was for an old injury and this is a new one in a different location with different symptoms. however, since this physician can tell the details without an initial exam, which makes him more prescient than most dr's., i cannot (and will not) be able to get an initial exam from this practice. so i will go elsewhere. (unbelievable...sheesh!)."

"I saw Dr Sadler. I saw him for workers comp . But had my knee done by another md . When I saw him for consult on second knee . First thing he asked was did he offend me because he did not do replacement. I was put on the defense. And then he said I was obese and had to loose 22 lbs for surgery I get that .Wrote my primary to say i was put off by his behavior. what a jerk. Never heard a word from St. Lukes. I am changing hospitals And he disparaging. To Dr. Friedman. So bye bye"

"Unlike prior reviews, this reviews outlines the amazing care received from the staff at St. Luke’s Physical Therapy located at the Hillcrest Plaza in Phillipsburg NJ. Having had numerous injuries I've have the honor with being treated by Christian, Daniel, John and Andrew, to name a few. All of which were patient and ensured I would have a positive outcome. In February 2022 I underwent rotator cuff surgery on my left shoulder. This surgery was very difficult for me as I am normally very active with hiking, running and especially bowling. Dr. Avallone was my surgeon and was simply amazing. He was extremely thorough with every aspect, from initial consultation to surgery and follow up visits. When the time came, I immediately requested I have my physical therapy at the Hillcrest Plaza location. What happened next caused me to be “bowled over”. Physical therapy for my shoulder started February 21 with my initial consultation. Having been there numerous times before I expected I would be assigned to one of the guys I have dealt with in the past. I would not be honest if I didn’t say that when I met with Allison Roth DPT initially, I thought she was a little too new to keep up with the high standard that was already set by the prior visits. Well I could have not been more wrong. From the very beginning she picked up on my anxiety of the situation without even saying anything. She immediately brought herself to my eye level and we talked genuinely about my concerns. This technique is something I’m typically teaching my training staff, it was nice to see it used in an effective manner from the other side, because it works. She insisted I be honest with my expectations, wanting to bowl as soon as possible, and begin training for another Spartan race. She very professionally reminded me what I had just gone through and she will do everything in her power to get me there, but only if I followed the established program she would come up with each week and Dr. Avallone has final say on everything. Over the course of the next several weeks my therapy was going very well, I guess as expected. What stood out was the confidence I was witnessing in Dr. Roth not just in my therapy but others. This “young lady” had not only earned the respect of her patients, but her co-workers by how she presented herself and communicated with them. I would often see other therapists consult with Dr. Roth about techniques for their patients and alternative methods to ensure all patients had a positive experience. She was able to do this without impacting my sessions. As time went on I became a bit discouraged with my progress, as it was taking longer than anticipated. Dr. Roth was very compassionate and made sure to put a stop to that quickly. She has a talent of reading people. Being involved in emergency services for over 35 years with most of them involving hiring, training, from motivating to discipline, it not uncommon to get a note about employees doing a good job and write it off as, ‘the employee is just doing their job’. Like I said earlier, I don’t normally write reviews. With that being said, Dr. Roth was not just doing her job. The work ethic displayed by Dr. Roth was exceptional. Her assertiveness was displayed at just the right times. Because she took the time to really listen to me when we talked, she was able to read me and my feelings. She could tell the amount of effort I was going to put in the days session before I even started. This patient to therapist communication is something I had never experience before. From this extra communication, knowing when to push me and when not made all the difference in the world. The other highlight was listening to Dr. Roth talk about how passionate she is in furthering her education, not just for herself but to help ensure patients have more successful outcomes of the physical therapy program. "I saw one of the doctors for rotator cuff repair. I have been a pt of St Luke's Orthopedic care for several years , my husband as well. We've had very good results up till now. This time my experience could not be worse. My surgery to repair the injury was a complete and total failure and now my shoulder has an even greater tear and is deformed . I have been discarded as I have been told there is no solution and encouraged to pursue pain management. How does that measure as responsible patient care?"
