Pennypack Park - Verree Road Parking Area

"It used to be a one of kind place. A place of serenity. Yesterday I went there with 3 toddlers and unfortunately we had to leave few minutes later, giant scary dogs are off leash running around, people drinking!!! Leaving trash everywhere and that’s during the day?!!!! Where are park rangers and how come no one is enforcing any rules? Safety and sanitary alerts! Since when it became off leash dog park and an open bar?"

"This is a nice place to take a walk to get away from the city surrounding it with your family or other half. You won’t regret using it as an excuse to get out the house."

"We like walking on this side of Pennypack Park the road is paved and very nice to walk on. The scenery is also beautiful."

"When you park there DONT be dumb and leave valuables in your car , crime does happen in the Northeast and someone will break car window and take your stuff so if you're going to take a walk in the park leave your purse or wallet, apple computer , Picasso at home ,putting it under the seat is not a good hiding spot, Update Some people don't listen as people continue to leave valuables in plain view and are getting their windows busted in and their wallet or purse that they hide under a napkin gets stolen"

"The Pennypack Park entrance on Verree Road offers parking and information. The area is beautiful and clean. There are places to sit and relax in nature. You’ll find entrances to trails an information board, a book swap and maps. It really is a lovely area. Great for walking dogs. It closes at dusk."
