About the Business
Welcome to Saint Adalbert Roman Catholic Church, a vibrant place of worship located in the heart of Port Richmond, Philadelphia. Situated at 2645 East Allegheny Avenue, our church is a cornerstone of spiritual life in the community, offering a welcoming environment for all who seek solace and connection with God.
At Saint Adalbert Church, we are dedicated to nurturing the faith of our parishioners through the celebration of the Holy Mass and communal prayers. We proudly share video recordings of these sacred gatherings, held within the St. John Paul II Parish, on our Facebook page, where they are also archived for future reflection.
Our church is committed to fostering a deep spiritual journey for all. We invoke the intercession of St. Joseph, with prayers seeking his protection and guidance for our community and the wider Church. These prayers are offered in both English and Polish, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of our congregation.
If you are a member of St. John Paul II Parish or any of the neighboring churches—St. Adalbert, St. George, Mother of Divine Grace, or Nativity—please join us in reconnecting as we emerge from the pandemic's restrictions. We use FlockNote to keep our community informed about church reopening plans and other important updates. Your participation is vital as we navigate these changes together.
Saint Adalbert's Church is committed to accessibility, with ADA-compliant facilities to ensure that everyone can participate fully in our services. Visitors attending Mass are invited to enter through the side entrance, located between the church and the rectory.
We warmly invite you to join us in worship and to experience the sense of community and faith that defines Saint Adalbert Roman Catholic Church.

"Another beautiful church on Allegheny"
"We had my grandmother's funeral mass here and the church is absolutely beautiful!! Also the priest was very nice. A beautiful service"
"Very significant historical place in this area of Kensington Philadelphia. The architecture is remarkably unbelievable in it's detail and beautiful retro design. One of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen in my life."
"Beautiful Polish church. They have beautiful Polish customs. My wife and I especially love to wait in line to have our small basket of Easter food blessed on Holy Saturday."
"The church has been updated and renovated since the way it was in the old days. When it comes to Mass you have a choice of either 5PM on Saturdays in English, or Sundays at 7:30AM (Polish), 9AM (English), 10:30AM (Polish). There are now TV screens to help you follow along during mass, and a bathroom available. This place is also handicap accessible, and has its own private parking lot off on Edgemont street. It's a church my parents like to attend to, and I won't lie it fits their needs and is beautiful. I've seen a better priest handle things here though, and he's not here anymore. The church is a bit rigid. The one thing I will recommend, that I have always loved, is their yearly bazaars. They include Polish food, beer, water ice, funnel cake, games, a bouncy house, a flea market, adults can gamble and kids can play chance games. There's also Polish music, which the bazaar is a great time to meet up and see people you haven't seen in years. I went to the school that used to be conjoined with it, but is now Our Lady of something... shows how much I know, but I still like to pop up and see my old teachers during the event. Baskets are also raffled off, but in general, if you ever want to taste authentic Polish food the bazaar is always closer to the end of June during the 20's. The website will tell you more about that though."
