"Cute little museum Free entrance, but donations are accepted. Expect to spend max around 30min in, as it's pretty small, but the artworks are very interesting, and to be honest after visiting, I became more curious about woodwork in general"
"Fancy little museum with friendly staff and beautiful Woden arts and crafts. I loved the unusual displays, the captions explaining both the art and the story of the creative artists, and also the gift shop that really has wonders! The admission is pay what you want, which should really be the case for more museums in Philly, as most of them are way too expensive given the little content they display. I strongly recommend these cool and odd (in a good way) exhibitions."
"This is such a an awesome little museum. The temporary exhibit in there when we visited was an exploration of the relationship between trees, wood, and culture. Specifically , the artist studied a single tree for a full year, with the intention of tearing it down at the end and making art from it. Instead, they became too attached to the tree and made the art seen in the exhibit out of naturally fallen wood instead. One of the folks there gave us a great tour of the exhibit where we got to learn more about the artist and the process behind making the installation. The upstairs woodcraft collection was also amazing! So many gorgeous, intricate pieces. And, admission is free to to keep the space accessible (suggested donation is $5)."
"We took our grandchild here so that I might view a piece by a friend of a friend; sadly, the piece was not displayed, nor was it on premises. The website indicated the piece was available. However, our host Vickie, was very diligent in her search for the piece and it was determined that it is in a private collection. She also gave us good direction about the various sections. The museum is small but intimate; so many ways to make art from wood! Lighting and arrangement is nice. The building itself is beautiful. Their gift shop has some beautiful pieces!"
"Loved it! Small museum filled with interesting wood art. Free to enter and enjoy, but they really deserve a generous donation. We were welcomed warmly, introduced to the museum and offered a tour. The displays are well organized, the museum space is bright. It’s fully accessible, with accessible entrances, restroom and an elevator to the second floor. There are displays at all heights, and an audio tour available."
