"It's not really a "picnic" area at all. It's just an abandoned and leveled local parcel of land that used to have some kind of temporary WW2 housing on it. Now it's primarily weeds. Nothing historic or interesting there. Certainly no accouterments for a picnic."
"Not really a "picnic area" anymore. More like a park. Still has the roads, sidewalks, and streetlights from when there was barracks-like married student housing here. The roads look a bit sad now. Nice wildflowers in the summer. Lots of deer plus the occasional fox or turkey."
