Located at 901 Canal Pointe Boulevard in Princeton, New Jersey, the Princeton 1st Ward is a welcoming place of worship for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and visitors alike. We invite you to join us in exploring the teachings of Jesus Christ, whom we revere as the Son of God and Savior of the world. His love for each of us is beyond measure, and we strive to follow His teachings in our daily lives.

Our Beliefs and Worship

While we hold some distinct beliefs, our faith centers on the life, ministry, sacrifice, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who saves us from sin, suffering, and death. Our Sunday services offer a main worship session known as the "sacrament meeting," which includes songs, prayers, and sermons by congregation members. The highlight of this meeting is partaking in the sacrament, a sacred moment to remember the Savior. Following this, we offer classes for children, youth, and adults to deepen their understanding of the gospel.

The Role of Temples

In addition to regular church services, we place special significance on temple worship. Temples are sacred spaces where members receive divine instruction and make eternal covenants with God. These covenants include commitments to follow His commandments, live the gospel, and support one another. We believe that families can be eternal, with marriages performed in temples meant to last beyond this life. Our temple work also extends to our ancestors, offering them the same blessings through sacred ordinances.

The Book of Mormon is a cherished volume of scripture that complements the Bible, providing further insights into God's love and Jesus Christ's divine mission. Compiled by the ancient prophet Mormon, it offers guidance and strength, much like the Bible, and together they enrich our understanding of God’s plan for us.
