"In 1907, Sir William Mather gifted Princeton a replica of the sundial in front of Oxford's Corpus Christi College. The replica is nearly identical, except that the 27 dials on the pillar have been calibrated for Princeton's latitude, which is more than 11 degrees south of Oxford's. The pelican at the top is a symbol of Corpus Christi College. Did you know that until the 1960s, only senior students were allowed to sit on the sundial steps?"
