"Not bad for a 150-year old bridge remnant"
"There’s little remaining of the Mercer and Somerset Railroad except for the right of way visible on topo maps and a few stone abutments like this one. Here there was a bridge allowing the railroad to pass over Scotch Road and all that remains is the stone abutment. The railroad was completed in 1874 and existed solely to block a rival railroad from completing their line across the state."
