"Good sermons and many lovely people. Sometimes run a bit more like a business/social club than a church, which may or may not be appealing. You will be most comfortable if you lean heavily towards an agnostic or atheistic worldview, in my opinion."
"Beautiful room. Cosmic Crossings is doing great things. Thank you for allowing them to host their events."
"I have visited this church off and on for the past couple of years. While I adore their reverend, as well as her sermons, I was treated rather rudely by one of their ushers/"welcome committee" members. I have a tendency to arrive at church early; I like to take a seat in the back, review the order of service, and listen to the choir practice. I've been to many UU churches over the years - including this one - and have *never* had a problem. That is, until today. As I was entering the sanctuary, and reaching for an order of service, a church member - I assume she was either an usher or a member of the "welcome committee" rudely stopped me from taking an order of service, and asked me to leave the sanctuary, as the "choir [was] practicing". I was taken aback by her tone, and explained to her that I "always listened to them practice" (as this is a form of relaxation for me). She gave some half-baked excuse about an "auction" the night before, and tried to backtrack on her abruptness, attempting to make small talk with me. But at this point, the damage was done. I also saw her stop an elderly gentleman with a cane from entering...and he seemed as flummoxed as I was. Eventually, she let us all in. For a "welcoming congregation", I felt less than welcomed. And I highly doubt that I will be returning. Which is a shame, as Rev. Wildszewski is one of the best around."
"A liberal religious community that welcomes people from all religious backgrounds, cultures, abilities, sexual preferences, ages, and education. A place to celebrate a love of life in a safe, nurturing environment which encourages children and adults to explore the wisdom of the world, practice service and work for justice. Please come visit - we are looking forward to meeting you!"
"If you think love should be the central message a church preaches, this is the church for you. If you like to think for yourself; integrating what we know about science, humanity and the human spirit this is the church for you. If you want to build a rich social life with friends that care about social justice this is the church for you. If you want thought provoking sermons that combine an understanding or religion, society and today's moral challenges, this is the church for you. This is my second home today after many years without attachment to a formal church."
