Reviews of Delaware Park
"After reading some of the older posts, I felt the need to post an update. This is a great little neighborhood park. Since the township has cut the wild vegetation growth from the center of the field beginning last year, the park is much better. Although the brush probably was nice for the wildlife, it didn't allow for much to do other than walk through the brush trails. Since it's been cut back, we've seen kids playing volleyball and people just enjoying the field. There is always some type of wildlife around. We've seen numerous deer, turtles, beaver or groundhog, rabbits, ducks, and more. I think the park is well maintained, or has been for the last few years we've lived here. The park isn't huge but it is worth checking out. There are benches, picnic tables, and trash cans (NO BATHROOMs). The rules are posted in the photo."
"Nice place, if you leave withing walking distance, but it's not much to see here. Suitable for a quick walk through, nothing more. no views, nothing interesting and this place really need a proper maintenance, hope that there will be some improvements"
"This is a very, very small neighborhood park. You can see Business Rt 1 (Old Lincoln Hgwy) from some points. It's not well maintained and only has a grass path. If you live within walking distance, you might want to walk through but you'll have to do quite a few laps to get any exercise. I definitely wouldn't drive here and there's no parking lot. Go to one of the larger parks (Core Creek or Tyler) if you like nature trails esp. by water. UPDATE: I'm sorry to say that since my last review almost ALL of the shrubbery, wildflowers, and trees have been removed from the park. (See new photos.) There is no longer any type of path-just an open area. Sadly, just before dusk I saw three deer running North across the treeline close to Business Rt 1. I am upset at the loss of habitat for the wildlife. I don't know what prompted this, but I feel that any wooded areas remaining in the county should be preserved."
"There's not much here. A small all grass loop, a few benches and some trash cans. It's clean, so that's nice."
"Mosquito breeding ground, nothing but weeds and no parking."
