"A Baptist church dating from 1834 and cemetery dating from 1817 can be found along this country road. Most buried here date from the late 1800s. Many veterans of the union army can be found here. The granite stones are easy to read but many smaller stones in the back corner are no longer legible. The oldest known burial is Susan G. Conover 1817. The cornerstone dated 1884 marks repairs made to the church and the addition constructed in that year."
