Welcome to First Presbyterian Church of Hackettstown, NJ
Located at 298 Main Street in the heart of Hackettstown, New Jersey, the First Presbyterian Church stands as a beacon of faith, love, and community. As a proud member of the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA), we are deeply rooted in the Christian tradition, celebrating the wonderful creation, redemption, and sustenance we find in God's love. Our mission is to embrace this divine love, allowing it to free us to love ourselves and one another.
Our inclusive worship services are a time to seek God's forgiveness, gratefully receive His grace, and listen for His truth through the words of Scripture and sermon. We are nourished by the Word and inspired by the Spirit, prompting us to respond joyfully to God's love through our offerings and service.
This summer, we invite you to join our efforts in supporting the community by contributing diapers (any size) and wipes. These will be distributed at our Free Market on September 21st. Contributions can be placed in the pack & play located at the front of the Sanctuary until August 31st.
Mark your calendars for our upcoming events! On September 8th, join us for the Second Sunday Event in the Chapel at 11:30 am, where we'll engage in a fun sand art activity. Please sign up to attend.
Additionally, don't miss our next free Second Saturday Community Dinner on September 14, 2024, at 5:30 pm, held at 291 Main Street, Hackettstown. This is a wonderful opportunity to gather, share a meal, and strengthen our community bonds. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

"Disclaimer: this is my church, and I love it there. The building is beautiful inside with stunning stained glass windows. The exterior needs work...a project that we're embarking on. The congregation numbers about 100 on a typical Sunday, so it's small enough to know almost everyone, but big enough to be somewhat anonymous if that's your preference. The programs for kids are great- Sunday School, several music groups, Vacation Bible School in the summer, and it's also home to the highly regarded Heaven Sent Nursery School."
