You could have ignored him and his fear of shots; you could have gone about your duties and never-minded about why someone so big could be so childlike and innocent; you could have forgotten — or never knew — what it means for someone like him to gather strength and courage, what it takes a parent to help. But instead, you reached out so wonderfully, so beautifully and promised him a chance to look at the firetrucks after his jab. And for that, he readily and eagerly found his bravery. And you gave him a tour that so delighted him. The photo of him in one of your jackets made me cry huge tears of joy.
