"Vidalia Funeral Home was once known for their professional and caring services. The name “Vidalia Funeral Home” garnered true respect from people in the community under the previous owners. The standard of personal care you receive during your most difficult time has deteriorated to be the worse. My family for many years had used Vidalia Funeral Home because of the professionalism but that has changed for the worse under the new ownership. Not long ago within a one-year period, my mother and father passed. A couple of years before my brother died. My family chose Vidalia Funeral Home for both my parents which was a horrible mistake. Years earlier when my brother passed, we didn’t use this funeral home and they took it out of on my family. The first thing they did they tried to price gouge us. When we complained about pricing, they made it clear we had to do everything for ourselves. I called them out on it and they were more upset. We had to get our mother’s coffin from another funeral home because they claimed we needed an oversized coffin. The other funeral home said this was untrue. Next, we had to do our own programs, order her flower from another funeral home, and drive our own cars to and from the services. My mother was given a real pearl necklaces from friends as a gift. I asked that the necklace be placed around her wrist as a bracelet. When we viewed our mother for the first time after she died, she looked horrible. She never wore make-up. I asked them to remove the make-up and that a towel be placed around her neck when removing the make-up. I stayed to watch to no avail it couldn’t be removed. The day of my mother’s funeral and the last viewing of her body the bracelet she was given was stolen off her wrist. If I could give this funeral home a rating it would be a less than 0. My mother was a very special person and loved my many."
