Welcome to the Port Jervis Fire Department, proudly serving our community from our main station located at 20 Hammond Street, Port Jervis, New York 12771. As a dedicated fire station, we are committed to safeguarding the lives, property, and environment of Port Jervis through exceptional services in education, preparedness, prevention, and prompt response to emergency incidents.

Our department comprises over 300 dedicated volunteer members who operate from five strategically located fire stations within the city limits. Our impressive fleet includes four pumpers, a Squirt articulating boom, an aerial ladder truck, a Special Operations Squad vehicle, a Fire Police vehicle, two river rescue boats, and three Chief’s vehicles. Our Special Operations Squad features specialized teams such as the Accident Victim Extrication Team (AVET), Technical Rescue Rope Team, and Water Operations Team.

We are always seeking volunteers to join us in serving our community. Members can access the fire reporting and record system to review department reports and stay updated on our activities.

The Port Jervis Fire Department is renowned for hosting the longest-running parade in America, the Port Jervis Firemen’s Day Parade. We invite you to join us for the 2024 parade, scheduled for July 13. Additionally, we conduct multiple fundraising events throughout the year—check our calendar for more information.

Our monthly Board of Officers meeting takes place on the first Monday of each month, and each week, our fire companies hold drill nights to ensure our firefighters are always ready for emergencies.
