Port Jervis Fire Department

Welcome to the Port Jervis Fire Department, proudly serving our community from our headquarters at 31 Owen Street, Port Jervis, New York 12771. As a dedicated fire station, we are committed to safeguarding the lives, property, and environment of our community through exceptional services in education, preparedness, prevention, and prompt emergency response.

Our department is comprised of over 300 passionate volunteer members who operate from five strategically located fire stations within the city limits. Our impressive fleet includes four pumpers, a Squirt articulating boom, an aerial ladder truck, a Special Operations Squad vehicle, a Fire Police vehicle, two river rescue boats, and three Chief’s vehicles, ensuring that we are always ready to respond to any emergency.

The Port Jervis Fire Department is proud to host the Port Jervis Firemen’s Day Parade, the longest-running parade in America. Mark your calendars for the 2024 parade, which will take place on July 13. We also engage in multiple fundraising events throughout the year—check our calendar for more information.

Our Special Operations Squad is equipped with an Accident Victim Extrication Team (AVET), a Technical Rescue Rope Team, and a Water Operations Team, all trained to handle a variety of emergency scenarios. We hold weekly drill nights for each fire company to ensure our firefighters are always prepared.

We are always seeking volunteers to join our ranks and help us serve the Port Jervis community. Members can access our fire reporting and record system to review department reports. Our Board of Officers meets monthly, on the first Monday, to discuss department matters.
