"They return packages for having incomplete addresses even if the address is complete, and do not answer the phone. I also receive mail for other addresses about once a week."
"Getting packages once they leave the post office usually goes smoothly... It's just getting them to actually process packages in a timely manner that's an issue. It's fairly standard for them to sit on a package an extra day or two, even if they received it at midnight. So, make sure to anticipate an extra day or two for your packages regardless of the estimated delivery date. Cuz they DGAF about that. I don't know if it's an issue with USPS as an organization vs how much is the local office, or a combo of all of it. I just know this office relative to the others I've delt with over the years is one of the lowest ranking for me in terms of overall service."
"I’m not sure what’s going on lately with the postal mail carrier(s) for my area. We are no longer in a “pandemic “ but our packages are being treated as if so. I live in a subdivision and there are 2 mailboxes on each post, to help with less stopping in our neighborhood, I also upgraded my mailbox to a larger size to help accommodate small packages but not for boxes. I am finding my mailbox crammed to MAX capacity, so much so that from all the forceful shoving it has encountered has caused the bar the mailboxes sit upon, to now spin on the post which will now have to be repaired. A package delivered yesterday was so crammed, it looked like it was punched to get inside the mailbox, it literally took to people to get it out because it was TO BIG to be in the mailbox (that is what my front porch is for). Honestly it’s just ridiculous. I have also had a lot of issues this year (2024) with packages making it to the Statesboro Post office and then never getting delivered, either being marked as delivered, obstructed driveway (there is not one it’s a subdivision), weather issue (what bad weather other than some rain here or there)or no just updates available (is there theft going on within the Post Office, I have to admit I do wonder) Also if you happen to see the mail carrier(s) , no friendly wave or anything. Overall, It’s nothing like the service it used to be."
"Postal Service gets my packages.. states out for delivery...then puts on tracking information that cannot be delivered... several reasons listed...address not found .... customer requested package be held... inclement weather when it's beautiful day...on and on again..carrier crossed through our property after a rain and got stuck and had a wrecker come pull her out leaving deep tracks and a muddy mess...the local manager assessed damage and promised to get it fixed...he did not...went and talked to him after a month with him again making a promise to get it fixed...never happened...we had to fix it ourselves even thought at 76 years of age we weren't physically able but we could not afford to pay anyone to fix it...I can give multiple examples of lost mail... packages delivered to wrong address etc. but this will probably never even be looked at."
"I went into office, kindly asked if my larger packages could be placed in my open garage instead of 5 feet away, not half on grass half on driveway like last few times. Employee at counter caught my carrier before they left and she told the front counter employee that my garage was so full there was no room to get in it.. Then he said ,maybe I need to clean up my garage! I simply told him that was not true. Treated me like it was all my fault. Needless to say, my garage is very organized and have a great place for packages to make their life easier. I was treated with disrespect .I kept my cool and just walked out quietly."
