"We purchased a site at MSLA about 28 years ago and loved going up on weekends and for vacation. We eventually sold our original site and moved to the other side of the campground because of new people moving in that had no idea of campground etiquette. Originally there were rules (bi-laws) that you had to abide by. No one follows them anymore. Permanent structures are being built onto trailers and on sites that was never allowed before. I was told by a board member once "New board, new rules". Of course he was the person building most of the structures. Soooo! Some people keep their property very nice and then there are some that haven't been there in years and their property and trailers look it. Owners were never made accountable to keep their places decent and they should be. Some even have piles of junk outside and no one makes them clean it up. Would you want them as your neighbor? Satellite dishes now line the lake and the wires are hung in trees and go over the roads. We actually traveled with our RV and more than once my husband had to ride on the roof to hold up wires when we got back so they didn't damage our a/c unit. Laundry is another joke. Half the time more machines were out of order than worked. The whole place is old and they constantly have issues with the sewer and water systems. We sold our 3 sites last summer and got out and don't regret it a bit."
