"A classic train depot that the village of Pemberton does a great job of maintaining. The grounds are landscaped and clean. The passenger boardwalk is amazing, as are the old lamp poles. What is missing, however, and I hate to be critical, are "railroad things"... crossing and switch signals, directional markers, a stretch of actual track. The addition of these things would just add to the beauty of this station in a very "railroady" sort of way. Just my 2 cents."
"The station has been closed for years, but there is a beautiful rail trail that you could either bike or hike between the woods."
"Sits at the start of the Pemberton rail trail. Around a 2.5 mile round trip walking totally level. Biggest shame is that trains stopped coming here in 1969. Nice walk all the same."
"The Pemberton Station was built in 1892 by John S. Rogers of Moorestown. It replaced an earlier frame station which had burned in November of 1891. The station was in active use until 1969 when the last direct rail service between Pemberton and Camden ended. Restoration was completed in March, 1999. The Station is on both the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Sites. It is currently vacant."
"Great walking trails. The old trains are pretty cool too."
