About Us
Welcome to the Bordentown Library, a cherished cornerstone of our community since 1841. Located at 18 East Union Street, Bordentown, New Jersey, our library is a proud member of the Burlington County Library System since 1971. Our two-story facility offers an inviting atmosphere for all ages. Children can explore a large room downstairs, adorned with a vibrant underwater mural and a dedicated program room for various activities. Upstairs, visitors will find a modern technology center, historic portraits showcasing community leaders through the years, and a cozy reading area by the fireplace perfect for relaxation and reflection.
Please note that all branches of the Burlington County Library will be closed from Saturday, August 31 through Monday, September 2 in observance of Labor Day Weekend. For more information about our holiday schedule and other closings, please visit our website. "I always come in here after work to study and take exams. Tonight was a terrible experience. The librarians were very loud talking to each other and it was extremely annoying and rude. This is suppose to be a library, a place where people can come to study, read, check out books, and have quietness."

"This library is small and quiet. It has a great section for kids. There are activities planned for kids on a regular basis, and my son has a great time doing the summer reading program. The adult section leaves a lot to be desired, however, if any other library in the system has the book that I want, bordentown can order it and have it come right to their branch pretty quickly."
