"Again, thank you cdk007. Your knowledge of and commitment to these beautiful bridges is unmatched. I agree that this is a magical spot, chock full of bridges and sights. And that lovely gal, resplendent in white paint is the center of it all. What a day this was. I stood in the river up to my knees taking some of my photos and vids. That is what living is all about."
"Built in 1896 by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company, this pin connected lenticular through truss bridge is one of the most beautiful bridges in the state of New Jersey. The picturesque spot along the Raritan river also hosts 2 other historic railroad bridges and an old mill. An absolutely gorgeous spot to visit. The bridge underwent a rehabilitation in 2007 and all new pins can be seen connecting the sections. This is one of only 2 lenticular truss bridges in the state."
"The water was brown and rushing after the rainstorm. A couple of ppl were swimming to cool off from the humidty. Nice little place we decided to drive to and stop by on our way thru the area. Would love to explore more the next time we are back there."
"Nice picturesque location. Looks like a nice place to fish and kayak. Currently closed for swimming due to overuse last year.."
"Nice little town on the South Branch of the Raritan River in New Jersey. Park your car and take a walk across the bridge. Or take a walk along the river. There is a trail that follows the river in the nearby South Branch Preserve."
