Miracle-Ear Hearing Aid Center

"My review may be a little long so please bare with me. My mom has denied her hearing loss for YEARS! She lives on Long Island but splits her time there & here with us. When she's home on LI, She's there with my daughter. She finally gave in & We found her an audiologist on LI a couple of years ago (my daughter handled it, not me). I spoke with them a couple of times & got a weird feeling but either way my mom got what they called hearing aids, but I'm calling them amplifiers. It was NOT easy getting her to now agree to go back to another dr. She's the old Italian type that she can cure herself. I talked her into going to Miracle Ear here in Milford.... GAME CHANGER for probably every person in our family, and my mom. I did worry about insurance issues between NY & PA, but they made this a non issue!! From my very 1st phone call with Lauren (we LOVE you Lauren) to our 1st visit with Kayla, we felt comfortable & cared for. TRULY cared for & about. My mom actually got a little emotional when Kayla asked if we had any questions when the tests were done. She didn't have any questions, just more of a statement of how she felt "annoying" to people in her life because we had to speak loud or repeat ourselves and you could tell Kayla actually cared about what my mom was saying & understood her. She LISTENED to her & made her feel validated. Kayla is just absolutely amazing! In fact that weekend I had my 2 aunts (my mom's sisters) & my cousin coming to spend the weekend with us to see my mom & they let my mom borrow her temp aids for the weekend so my mom could enjoy her sisters & niece!!!! This was like a Christmas gift to her! To be able to listen to, & be part of the conversations was priceless! These ladies at Miracle ear don't just have jobs.. Kayla gives people back a piece of their life they lost that they don't know how to live without. My mother hadn't heard Birds or loud people speaking in restaurants for so very long it was consuming to her again when I took her out for dinner after the weekend. When the server asked her what she liked to drink I did not have to repeat it to her loudly or answer for her she was able to do it herself and I think that meant the world to my mom. Something so small meant so much to this woman. Ladies, I cannot thank you enough for giving my mom back her hearing, her dignity, & happiness to hear everything she's been missing. I cannot wait for her final aids to come in so she can enjoy her EVERY DAY of forever again. And for me it'll be great knowing that when she is back home on Long Island I know she can hear what is going on in her house when she is home alone and she does not have to rely on her dogs to bark when someone is at her front door or inside of her gate she will be able to hear this for herself. And also as far as the landline telephone goes we cannot wait for that either that's just a bonus to us and to everyone else that tries to call her and she doesn't answer because she doesn't hear the phone ring and at 86 years old she really isn't that great with the new technology of caller ID and stuff like that. I know I will have more to update after her final hearing aids come in and sometime has gone by but I feel like I had to say this now because it is so deserved. Just know that you ladies don't just get up everyday and go to work at your regular old job you give people back a piece of themselves whenever you can and you do it with Amazing Smiles and such politeness and understanding.THANK YOU Lauren & Kayla!!!!"
