"I spent 2 hours creating a 26 page document with multiple colors. I hit print, only to discover that the only printer listed to select from was black & white. I went to the self service pay station to pay for my print job but it was unresponsive. At that point I went upstairs to the restroom and returned about 3 minutes later. A staff member had shut off my computer, which deleted my document. "I thought you left," she said. She told me that my document was irretrievable, and apologized. I asked, "are you certain? Could it be here somewhere?" No. I spent another hour recreating my document from memory, but only in black & white. This time I asked for help in getting the document to print. It was then I discovered both of my documents were in the print queue. There was no reason I had to recreate it after all. I also learned that color printing was available, but not after the document has been sent to a black & white printer. I asked what the protocol was to avoid this happening to me again. A staff member instructed me to tell someone if I want to leave my computer to use the bathroom. Staff members were condescending in the way they spoke to me, M74, as though I were a computer novice. I have used a PC since it was invented, and a mainframe computer for a decade before that. The computers shut down after 1 hour automatically. I tried unsuccessfully to extend the time, per onscreen instructions, to no avail. I asked a staff member for help and she gave me instructions aloud across the room, "just press the" the blah blah blah. She followed me to my computer but was unable to extend the time and had to seek help. A man sitting next to me shared that he had lost his disability application after his computer suddenly shut down after he had extended the time. He lost his document after putting much work into it, just as I did. These problems with staff, procedures, and technology point to a leadership problem at the top."

"Excellent staff here and always my favorite location since I was a kid. Great programs esp for children . Good place to study and use their computers if needed too."
