"The library itself is great. The staff however are so rude and I dread having to deal with them. Getting yelled at for picking up a book for my (minor) daughter without her bc she's at school? She reserved it under her card. I wish she didnt reserve it and I took it off the shelf and checked it out myself because the dramatics were very uncalled for."
"I just moved here, in PA, from NJ, and when I tell you, the kids and I had the most sweetest warm welcome"
"Since when did talking loudly and listening to music become acceptable at a library? I had to close my ears with my hands to complete an important project. There was also old food caked in the back of the desk and I was being harassed by a spider the entire time. If you need to use WiFi, drive down the street to Panera. This library is a playground."
"Terrible experience. I only gave it the 1 star since it wouldn't let me post without it. Friendly Advice: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, check each and every single page prior to check out. I called way before the book was due and asked if I can keep it a bit longer since my test wasn't for a few more months. I was told that I could keep as long as needed, as long as I returned it, since there are no late fees. I kept the book for a couple of weeks after the due date and just returned it today. When I picked up this LSAT book at the Pocono Library it was glanced at and given to me, needless to say the book is over 1000 pages and not hard cover. Therefore, she fanned it and gave it to me. Once I started studying I noticed in the LR Games section specially, it was full of writing and dried up food in the corner of the pages, the pages were actually stuck together. I cleaned as much as I could since I needed the book and the book was legible enough for me to study. Well today I returned the book and was told that the book to the Pocono Library where I checked it out from and was told everything was fine. Shortly after I received a voicemail stating that the book was severely damaged. I called to ask what was happening and was told that the book was in "disgusting conditions" and was damaged in such a way that it would be taken out of circulation. The upsetting part is that I was blamed for the damages and would have to pay for it since I allegedly damaged the book. According to Miss Linda, library books are checked and rechecked once they are returned and checked out and rechecked over and over again. However, I am not a college student; I do not have small children that damage books. I am a middle-aged hispanic woman who eats home-cooked meals not mac and cheese as she claims the book was damaged with. I was highly upset since, I explained over and over again that if I would have damaged the book I would have no issues with paying for the damages as a responsible adult but the manner of handling this situation was highly offensive and disrespectful. The book has been returned way better than it was received! WARNING: Take the time to check books page by page prior to check out."
"I've never seen such a well-maintained and gigantic library with helpful and approachable staff. The library has two levels with multiple quiet rooms and tables for space to read or complete assignments. I enjoy coming here because people are respectful and its overall very quiet to complete work. The library has great hours and a large parking lot area."
