"My son bought a mini cooper was told it's a great car . So my son is a very trustworthy person and he believed the guy named John that it was a good car So his first time buying a car. Well they took advantage of him because he had it for 6 days before The timing belt went. Call them up and what did he say? He said that it was too bad he couldn't do anything. Car cost my son $6,000. I mean that's just wrong. Wouldn't go there again. He just got another car from another used car dealership by the way they give you a warranty. How about that? Amazing these people there do not give you a warranty at A & R. All they sell is junk cars so please think twice before you go there."
"I guess I will give them another chance. They have some inexpensive cars compared to most car dealers. The lot guy wasn't too helpful about how much I would get for my trade in. He said I have to pick a car first , then they will tell me how much for my trade in. A lot of the cars were boxed in like sardines. I started walking towards the cars closer to the building. The guy told me all those cars need repairs. I think he didn't feel like moving them. He tried to show me cars I didn't pick after I wasted time surfing their website. They do have some good cars but I feel like they don't want to give them up. Maybe they are saving them for someone else."
"PLEASE READ THE REVIEWSS!!!!!! IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD.!!!!!!! I KNOW THIS IS LONG BUT ITS IMPORTANT YOU PAY ATTENTION!!! My father and i decided to take the trip from Philadelphia (80 minutes) to A&R used cars this past Tuesday (05/06) to go pick out and buy what would potentially be my new car first official car. Well we were at the car dealer I automatically fell in love with the first jeep I looked at in there smaller car lot (a 2012 Jeep liberty that is still posted for sale listed no issues) we asked the salesmen if we could take it for a drive and it didn’t start, three jumper boxes later still not giving any power (our first red flag) the second car I looked at we took for a test drive and had no problems I fell in love with. We went inside and bought the car after having to sign 7 AS IS papers stating no refunds no exchange (another red flag) while driving home to Pa anytime I would move to hard the screen on the dash would go orange and go off making noises (another red flag) I called my dad but we figured everything was okay . Fast forward Friday (05/10) I was on my way into school and the car started to lock up and a orange wrench came up on the dashboard as well the Gas/Speedometer started giving out I was told to try and restart the car again to see if I just didn’t give it enough time to warm up but the check engine light came on as well this time, causing us to tow the car to a ford dealership from my school parking lot 4 DAYS INTO ME HAVING IT!!!!. Come to find out the wiring that connects the gears are completely disconnected and the transmission might be dead (this is all we know about so far). So we will have to pay more then we payed for the car to fix it. The company was completely unprofessional about the situation. Russ the boss had also called and told my father they would give him a refund and get this car back but then ghosted him what a surprise . I would never go here to buy a car unless you have a hell of a lot more money to put into it.!!!! 70% OF THESE CARS ARE PROJECT CARS AND WILL GIVE YOU A COMPLETE RUN FOR YOUR MONEY, THE MECHANIC BANDAIDS UP ALL THE CARS AND SHUTS OFF THE LIGHTS HIMSELF ."
"Came to look at a car, the condition was abysmal. it was priced higher than what Kelly Blue Book said it was worth for the age of the car, the condition, and the mileage, and was rudely told "i don't know what market value you were looking at" and "we don't negotiate here" (what car dealer doesn't negotiate?) and treated like i was stupid for even trying. Test drove the car and it felt like it was going to fall apart at any second. it wasn't even worth $500 to me, yet they get "three emails a day" about the car. Right. Looked at some other cars but was told they "didn't know" why the check engine light was on for one, and the other needed a full exhaust as if that wasn't a big deal. Felt queasy about the whole thing, it seemed like every car had major issues but described as "drivable". You'd have better luck finding a car in decent condition for a reasonable price off FB marketplace."
"The trip over there took about 90 minutes because of the weather and traffic. I kinda expected that and the customer service and vehicle selection made that trip very much worth it. Now... If you understand that you are buying a used car, your expectations should be saturated with realistic factors. I actually had a bit of fun and the transaction really took about 15 minutes from start to finish. I will be taking my sons there to get their very first vehicles and probably my 4th one too. Lol!"
