"Unfortunately, the deep tissue massage just wasn't deep. There wasn't nearly enough pressure to really break up scar tissue or release pressure points. I've had deep tissue done at other places, so I know it can be done, and this wasn't really close. The masseuse was not willing to communicate either - she would give brief, dismissive, unclear answers when I tried to ask questions, or when I tried to nudge her into using more force where I needed it. I quickly decided not to bother, because she seemed annoyed and stressed, and I didn't feel like being pushy. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I'll have to find a new place tomorrow, because I still need my hammys worked out, and this was pretty much pointless to that effect. If you want a standard massage, light pressure, with some other stuff thrown in, I'm sure this place is fine, but if you need a deep tissue / sports therapy massage, save yourself the time and look somewhere else."

Staff member Eva is a skilled (and careful!) practitioner of step massaging (walking on the back) using recently-installed ceiling hand-hold barres. During a recent session, she followed up with hand massage longitudinally along major muscle groups. Other staffers do equally well with the more focused pressing-out of tight and "congested" muscle spots: But I found this long-stroke approach to be a worthwhile variation for recovery after recent weeks of intensive exercise and physical activity. It was another very good experience at the very pleasant, customer-oriented Rocky Hill Health Spa."

They offer massage that combines eastern and western approaches, cupping, facials, heated lamps, and other specialty services. I’ve always been able to get appointments when in need. The staff are highly skilled and always find away despite being busy to help their customers, especially those in need.
