National Car Rental

"Will never rent from National again. Picked up & dropped off a car at this location, however, when the final bill came out a few days after drop off, I was charged almost $1,000 over what I was supposed to and was charged for dropping the car off at the Trenton, NJ location, which was clearly false. What a joke. After 4 phone calls to National corporate over the span of a month, I’ve been told 4 times now that I will be “receiving a call from a billing manager” regarding my almost $1,000 refund for being overcharged by National. It’s now been a month and I have yet to hear from anyone at National despite me calling 4 times. Decided to go the route of disputing the charge on my card. Do yourself a favor and GO ELSEWHERE."

"The service I received was very personable and helpful. I had an issue with the vehicle I was originally assigned but Tremaine and Dae’Shawn quickly resolved the situation. The personalized service I received from Tremaine was refreshing, she checked on me after the vehicle switch to ensure I was satisfied. This is a smaller location than I’m used to renting from so they don’t have as many car options, especially for customers with status. I took off one star with hopes that corporate will work to get this amazing team better vehicles."

"Overall okay but can be better. I had to wait for 50 minutes so that they could figure out why there was a difference between the rate which was sent to me in email vs the rate shown in the system."

"I have been an executive elite member for years. i rented from national as i always do for a business trip and used the express services once i reported their was a little dent in the lift gate by the handle and gave pictures you can see there is no other damage to the back of the vehicle. upon return of the vehicle the attendant stated he had to report it because he got in trouble for not reporting other damages to other vehicles. after i disputed it and sent in the photos they want me to pay over $1000.00 for something the previous renter did. i will never rent from them again even after renting from them for over 15 years."

"Had a long term rental and they refused to honor Reservation, had escalations on the line they told her ‘The Branch Manager’ she must honor Reservation but she refused. Pathetic, if you’re looking for decent customer service don’t waste your time here. This location is operating as a independent company and will not obey to Any National/Enterprise rules. Yes they will overcharge you and if you dare question or file a dispute they’ll throw you on the ‘Do Not Rent’ list"
