Reviews
"As a trail, it functions well because the trail is generally clear (except for a couple fallen trees). However, it's pretty noisy from the traffic on Rt 46 and there's almost nothing to see on the trail so it's a boring hike. The trail crosses the Pequest river a couple of times on bridges and in a couple places the river is visible while you walk the trail. Access to the east end of the trail is from two tiny parking lots on Janes Chapel road. Access to west end of the trail is a bit tricky: There's a decent-sized parking lot at the south-east corner of the intersection of Rt 46 and Rt 31. From there, there is a steep gravel path that climbs to the top of a large concrete viaduct that allows you to cross the Pequest river. Once you cross the Pequest River you have to climb down a steep embankment off the left side of the viaduct to the trail. The trail crosses a couple roads, so it is accessible at mid-points throughout it's length. It's also generally OK for a mountain bike, except I think it's too difficult to get a bike onto the trail from the west end, near Rt 31."
