"I had to rent a vehicle while mine was being repaired at the Ford Dealership in town due to a check engine light. Pat was extremely helpful and nice while we were getting the rental set up. "Rented a car due to car in for service. Ford dealer recommended the Autorent just down the street. Rented the car with no problem. Returned the car at 5 pm on a Friday and no one was at the desk, except the Carstar auto-body repair shop person that shares the space. No one was available to document the car on return. On Monday I was called to say that there was a ding on the front of the car. I was told that this will need to be repaired and that they could fix it for $75. No insurance is necessary I'm told. Now I find this very troubling that the Body shop affiliated with the Autorent made the observation after the weekend to say the car was dinged. Why didn't the Carstar person come out and check the car at drop off. Why say there's no one here, and leave the keys in the box. This doesn't pass the smell test. Take it from me, stick to the major car rental companies. Lastly they billed me for $125 to repair the area that was dinged. If I had to guess it was approximately 1/16 in area. For all I know the ding was there before I took the rental since it was so small. I would not recommend this business."

"I unexpectedly had to rent a car for a week+ and so happy I went with Autorent of Newtown. I had never used Autorent before and having rented cars many times before I had a lot to compare to. I will say that I will ALWAYS go back to Newtown if I ever need a car rental again. The car was clean, the process was simple and Marlene in particular made the experience A++. She takes customer service to another level and couldn't have made it a better experience. I highly recommend Marlene and Autorent of Newtown to anyone renting a car!!"
