"Rainwater Funeral Home goes above & beyond our expectations each sad time we have had to use them. They are compassionate & caring during the whole process of planning, the funeral, & burial of a loved one. Last week my precious mother in law passed away. There was no one else I would rather call. They also made her look beautiful, as they do for each body they have to prepare. I would recommend them for anyone during this sad time. Thank you Rainwater for a job well done"
"Great People and Great Service."
"Where do I even start… first they didn’t even let the pallbearers put him into the hearse nor take him out, or sit front row…I had to yell at folks to get the random people out of the way so the right people could do it. THEN, the actual service was very short and vague and they didn’t ask ANYONE if they wanted to say anything…he got no speeches. They put an incorrect song on the playlist (only got the name of the song right, chose the wrong artist…the song ended up being about sex). The gentleman that coordinated the funeral was over heard saying they couldn’t get the preacher available so they had a “rent-a-preacher”. There was literally no service at the gravesite, we sat down and then they were like thank you for coming and left. They then didn’t take the tent down from over his grave for almost a week. Dont even get me started on the absolutely atrocious makeup, he didn’t look anything like himself and it was like his eyelids were being pulled outward. Best part yet, they don’t take fingerprints like every other funeral home every because the “equipment is expensive and it’s hard to do”, so no fingerprint necklaces or tattoos for after they pass because it’s just too inconvenient."
"The worse funeral I have ever went to it was like everything was rushed. The directors let us no that they had to rent a preacher for the funeral and he was the worse Every funeral should have someone to be asked to stand up and say something about there friend not just rush them out of the funeral home I would rate it a minus but they don’t have it ."
"Best people ever that run a funeral home! Such compassion, kindness, and love. I grew up in Bowdon, and knew Mr and Mrs Rainwater, Lee, Amy, and Alan very well. Very good people. We went to make plans today for my father in law and were treated just like we were family. They really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and loved while you are going through a most difficult time in your life. Thank y'all so much for a wonderful experience planning Poppy's arrangements today. When I was a Marine serving in Operation Desert Shield/ Desert Storm , the Rainwaters paid for a years subscription to The Bowdon Bulletin to be sent to me. Just a lil touch of home while I was serving in a foreign country. You never forget acts of love and kindness. I highly recommend this place and I love this family!"
