"After experiencing my first Mother’s Day without my mother and approaching the one year anniversary of my mother unexpectedly gaining her wings, I have been reflecting on her passing. The most difficult part was losing my mother, because when I tell you that Harris Funeral Home was there for my brother and me! We knew that we were going with Harris because they had done such an excellent job with our father in 2009. My brother made the initial call to Harris’ and they took it from there. They worked closely with us to take care of all the details both big and small. Jeffery and Ramon were available any time we called and even if they were busy, they would promptly call us back. Because of COVID, I wanted to do something special at the service and release live butterflies. Well, Jeffery took that and made it the theme of her program by adding butterflies to it. It came out beautifully! Might I add that Jeffery and Ramon baby-sat my butterflies until the day of the service. Might I also add that they reached out well after the service to check on my brother and me. In the end, my mother looked amazing! They paid attention to every little detail and her service was beautiful. My brother and I were beyond pleased and I’m sure Mom (and Dad) would’ve been too. There are no words to adequately express how thankful we are to Harris Funeral Home for the service that they provided for both of our parents. My family will always be grateful for the love and care shown by Jeff, Ramon and the entire staff of Harris funeral Home during the passing of our loved ones.
