"I am so disappointed! I recent moved to south jersey and was craving jamaican food but didnt feel like cooking. Everything was overly cooked and burnt. The plantain was burnt, the fried chicken and jerk chicken were also burnt. I dont understand why people open up resturants knowing thier cooking is not up to par. Waste of money."

"Heard a good review about this place and decided to try it out! I must say that I placed my order around 615 p.m., and they close at 7. Placed an order over the phone for one small and one large oxtail platter with mac & cheese and cabbage. I wanted yams, but they were out. My husband wanted fried chicken, but upon asking about the pieces, was told, "ABSOLUTELY NO FRIED CHICKEN!" So we ordered what we did. She made sure to inform us that they were about to close and to hurry. We were only 10 minutes away, so we arrived early. I had to wait a few minutes before it came out. I was surprised by the price because the online prices didn't match up with what I was charged. Also, I was very confused as to why a large was $25 and a small was $23..? They both had about the same amount of food. I recently had Jamaican food that was 2x as good, 2x as much food, and almost half the price. The food was okay! Just ok! The mac & cheese was in a clump, and was barely seasoned. It had plenty of cheese, though. The cabbage was the best part. The oxtails were mediocre. They were oily and had a lot of fat. I was totally underwhelmed by everything, but my husband thought it was a little better. I would say that I'd never go back, but I'm cutting slack since it was close to closing."

"The jerk chicken was phenomenal, moist, and flavorful. Cabbage was perfect, rice and peas really hit the spot with the extra jerk sauce I got on the side. The oxtails were fall off the bone, and that chicken patty,( I really wanted to try the beef one, but I got convinced by the employee up front that the chicken patty was just as good! Props to you for convincing me, it was well worth it, had plenty of heat! And was clearly a homemade patty. Well worth the 40 minute drive to find some authentic Jamaican food when you get the itch! I’m just glad I don’t like closer or it would be on speed dial. Whenever I get something that really hits, it’s hard to switch it up and try something new. Highly recommend for anyone and everyone to try. Extremely clean facility as well! Well deserving of 5 stars, but I’m giving this a 9.5/10. The half point was only because of personal preference wishing it was spicier!! Still has a good kick to it."
