"8/30/24Update: Seventh time during opening. Still is fabulous. Added two new deserts: kheer (similar to rice pudding) and Kunafa cake (chocolate drizzle over a creamy custard like pie with pistachio filling). Highly recommend this restaurant. Service and management listen to suggestions and are very friendly. Dessert/pastry chef is great. 7/2024 Second time here during soft opening. New restaurant. Fabulous both times. Derek, Jay and Denny are lovely. Great suggestions and descriptions. A++ Highly Recommend"

"When I tell you the customer service and food at this restaurant is top tier!!!! Wow! Sam was our server and she was so amazing and helpful! All of the staff were so attentive and just kind! I am so pleased by the kindness and warmness of the staff! Me and my husband were on scooters and I asked if we could keep the scooters inside, and without hesitation they held the door and said absolutely! This will not be our last visit! This is such a GEM in my neighborhood! Now let’s talk about the food! OMG the butter chicken is to die for! My husband does not do spicy and the chef was able to make sure the spice level was minimal! He loved it! The garlic naan was crispy and delicious! I am looking forward to our next meal here! Ty so much to the staff! Wonderful experience overall! 10/10 recommend!"

"A Hidden Gem in Somerdale – Jalsa Indian Kitchen is a Must-Try! I had the pleasure of dining at Jalsa Indian Kitchen during their soft opening in Somerdale, NJ, and I can confidently say this place is destined for greatness. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a beautifully decorated space that exudes warmth and charm. The attention to detail in the décor is simply stunning—Ramadan-style lamps, stone statues, and a giant mandala that is perfect for photo opportunities. And, let me tell you, the TV here is the biggest I’ve ever seen! The service was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to make sure every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. Our waitress, Somi, was very friendly and professional. She made sure that we had anything and everything we needed. As for the food—mind-blowing doesn’t even begin to cover it. We ordered a variety of dishes including the papdi chaat, masala poppadom, lamb chops, malai chicken tikka, garlic naan, butter chicken, chicken biryani, and mango lassi. Every single dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The balance of spices was just right, making each bite an unforgettable experience. Jalsa is certainly a keeper, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out—you won’t regret it!"

"My husband and I have been on the hunt for a great Indian restaurant and we’ve found it! The food here is amazing ! The signature dish, butter chicken, is the best I’ve tried in the area! The serving size is plentiful. Our server, Derrick, was truly phenomenal and had all the best recommendations. The onion naan is a must try! We tried so many things and it was all delicious! There is a large screen in the main dining hall that allows you to explore all the beautiful locations on India. Love it! Highly recommend!"

"My host was Denny Patel. He was great! I liked their butter chicken with awesome butter Naan. Chicken tandoori was also great in taste! This place has a great party hall. I also liked the goat curry! The place has great environment! Please go and taste the pure Indian dishes of multi-culture."
