"Waited on a package with an important gift inside. When it finally got to our post office and went out for delivery, I watched the delivery woman pull up in her van to my house, sit there for a moment in her vehicle looking at her scanner device and then drive off. She didn't even get out of her vehicle and now I either have the option of going to the post office to get it (which I can't because my husband has the car at work) or waiting again for her to MAYBE do her job and drop it off tomorrow. "Shipped high value item from Thailand to Nahunta via DHL. DHL successfully shipped the item from Thailand to Jacksonville, FL. USPS handled the final delivery from Jacksonville to a house in Nahunta. Tracking status showed successful delivery at the final destination in the mailbox. But the customer never received it. Local USPS is not very cooperative in trying to locate the package. Think twice before you plan to ship any high value item from abroad to a customer in Nahunta. If you use DHL, they will outsource the parcel to USPS for a final delivery. Make sure to insure fully against loss because USPS, as a 3rd party agent, will not get signature confirmation when delivering the parcel. If you use FedEx, they will probably have a route to Nahunta, but make sure to request for signature confirmation nonetheless and/or insure fully against loss. (The same concept applies to shipping to any remote destination in any country.)"
