"Finally made it after years of wanting old fashioned buttercake and it did not disappoint. Their Buttercake is delicious!!! Glad it is an hour away or I would be eating too much cake. Friendly staff. Easy parking."
"Buttercake! Buttercake! Buttercake! This small bakery packs a punch. In and out stop for two quick buttercakes in a Flash. For best chance of your item being in stock, they suggest calling ahead. They can set one aside for you"
"Let me first say that this is the place to go if you want an awesome butter cake. Recently my husband brought home donuts from here and they were very disappointing. One of the perks of getting donuts from a real bakery, as opposed to Dunkin, is that they taste homemade and have lots of filling. The jelly and the cream fillings were scant at best. Please consider doing better with this aspect, as it really makes a difference and makes me want to journey to Yum Yum instead."
"It feels like you're in an actual Dutch Bakery. Everything is great here from the scones to the sticky buns. But the butter cake is the best - an excellent option to take away breakfast if you have family staying over."
"I was pointed here by the owner of Gaeta's Tomato Pies (great for savory) and he told me to get one of their butter cakes as I was on a road trip and looking for an authentic Philly experience. This place is AMAZING. The butter cake was delicious but a bit decadent for my tastes and every other item was so delicious. We had to come back a second time and drove an extra 2 hours out of the way to come back to Philly to get their pastries again. Really phenomenal place!"
