"to say I am disappointed with the quality of my child's care here is a great understatement. As a four year old boy, my son certainly has some behavioral challenges that can be overcome with the assistance of a good teacher. However, that is not what he got here. I was called in this afternoon regarding his behavior and how he was hitting other students. I was calmly talking to the assistant director in an attempt to inform her that my kid was not the only one hitting and that other kids were hitting him. My son has also been video recorded in the class room beating himself up and stating that "he hates himself" over getting into trouble. Instead of consoling a visibly upset child, they were recording him. He has even came home with multiple injuries. I stated who the kids were, in a private conversation, hoping that this would lead to teachers keeping a closer eye on the students. Instead, the director, and owner, raised her voice at me stating that we don't name drop and informing me that there is no favoritism going on at the school. I let her know that my child is seemingly the only one being reprimanded, being made to "squat" by a fence anytime he gets into trouble. Additionally, I let her know that he was the only one who for two weeks did not have a name tag on his locker, while this may be a small thing to adults, it was huge for my son as he realized that. The director/ owner then got in my face yelling at me, again reiterating the fact that they don't have favoritism. Voices were then ultimately raised and my son was terminated from the school. Due to the sincere lack of professionalism I received from this school and the way that they treated my son I would not recommend this school to anyone."
"If I had the option to give zero stars, I would. My family member attended this school. He was coming home with new marks everyday, with little to no explanation of how they occurred. They filmed a video of my nephew, repeatedly hitting himself, and doing nothing to intervene, allowing a 4 year old child to hurt himself. On top of that, the owner, who is supposed to be professional and educated in the field, used VERY vulgar language toward a concerned parent, asking about why her son is being targeted throughout the school day. As someone who works in a childcare setting, this is completely unacceptable. If your child attends this facility, I can assure you they will be handed with no dignity. There doesn’t seem to be a loving set of hands. I can also assure you majority of the staff that work at this location, do not care about the welfare of your children, but instead, a paycheck. Please to yourself a favor and avoid this facility. Save yourself and your child from the trauma that comes with attending this school."
"I used to recommend this daycare to everyone, that is until my youngest (1yr) at the time started. While in the infant room I had no issues with him, the issues began when he was moved into the 18 month room. I began getting incident reports daily of either him getting hurt or them saying he was hurting someone else. Multiple times I had to pick him up early and he was unable to return the next day all the while he would come home with multiple bite marks all over his body weekly! The icing on the cake was when I picked him up and his eye was swollen shut, black and blue and the skin was broken with dried blood. I immediately noticed it and questioned the teachers as to what happened and the response I got was “idk it was like that when I came in here”. It took a week and me getting ugly for the director to give me some kind of explanation after she kept putting it off like it was nothing serious and even telling me “he’s light skinned so it does not take much to get a bruise”. I’ve been this color my whole life I know how hard, and what it takes to leave a mark like he had. Needless to say I withdrew him he’s been at his new daycare for several months now and is thriving, no bites, no incidents and no bad reports. I would not recommend this daycare for babies that cannot speak for themselves to tell you what is really going on. I do want to add that the lead 18 month teacher (Jade) is great and taught my son sign language that he still uses today it was just unfortunate that she could not be there all day. The pre-k program is great though, we absolutely loved Ms Hurley!"
"My 4 year old and 2 year old go to Grace. They’ve been attending for about one year. They love going there and seeing their teachers and friends. They learn so much at Grace Academy. I’m so impressed with the curriculum being taught and the learning that’s taking place each day. All of their teachers really do care and let me know when there issues with their behavior. We work together to come to a solution that works for the teachers and us- the parents. No place you leave your child is ever going to be “perfect” enough for your babies, but, all the staff are always willing to help and work with my children and myself. I would definitely recommend Grace to anyone. I promise you your scholars will be loved on, have fun, and learn a ton!"
"Coming from a different state and trying to inquire for my child before I get to Georgia was hard and on top of that deploying. Looking at the reviews should have sent me away, but I'm the kind of person who likes to see things for herself. This daycare has no type of customer service. They took me and my family on a "tour," which was a joke. Took us around the corner and didn't tell us anything about the daycare. Said there were no openings. I could tell my daughter didn't like the place she wasn't trying to stay ing there to be "curious" like kids do. The classroom had kids on top of each other. I didn't feel comfortable in there deploying and leaving my child there. Someone reached and said they had an opening for my daughter, and I kindly declined and explained why. Kids are our pride and joy and deserve the best. This place definitely is not it."
