Welcome to Lyons Center Telamon Head Start, a dedicated early childhood education provider located at 698 North Washington Street, Lyons, Georgia. Our mission is to offer exemplary childcare services that ensure children are ready to learn and succeed as they enter school. We proudly serve families in the local community through Georgia’s Early Childhood & Family Support program, catering to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

Our comprehensive Head Start program is designed to support both children and their families. We provide high-quality early education, parenting education, health and social-emotional wellness services, nutrition education, and family support. At Lyons Center Telamon Head Start, we believe that parents are their children’s most important teachers, and we encourage active parental involvement in their child’s education to foster strong family bonds.

We are now accepting new applications for the GA Head Start Programs. Families with income at or below the poverty level, as well as those in specific situations such as homelessness or receiving TANF or SSI, may be eligible for our services. Our centers, located in Coffee, Colquitt, Lowndes, Tattnall, and Toombs counties, also serve families from surrounding areas.
