- Criminal Investigations: Our special agents collaborate with local law enforcement to investigate major crimes across Georgia, ensuring communities are safe and justice is served.

- Forensic Laboratory Services: Our skilled scientists and technicians at the Division of Forensic Sciences (DOFS) provide essential analysis and interpretation of physical evidence for officers, investigators, and District Attorneys statewide.

- Criminal Justice Information: The Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) offers law enforcement agencies 24/7 access to critical criminal justice information.

Public Assistance and Reporting:

- Report a Tip: Help us keep Georgia safe by reporting information on cases, fugitives, suspicious activities, or threats to school safety and homeland security by calling (800) 597-8477. Alternatively, submit tips from your mobile device using the See Send App, available on iPhone and Android.

- Cold Case Submissions: If you have information on a cold case initially investigated by the GBI, please complete the Coleman-Baker Act Application for review.

- Record and Criminal History Updates: Complete Record Restriction Applications and Criminal History Updates can be mailed to the Georgia Crime Information Center at P.O. Box 370808, Decatur, Georgia 30037. For appointments, call 404-244-2639, option 1.
