"Mrs Auntum was great"
"Whew. Do not live here. They are nice upfront to get you in but when its time to move out??? They kept my deposit of $400 and came up with all these weird fees and wanted me to give them an extra check of $600. Remind you nothing was broken but 2 blinds on the patio door. Then, I gave them a check when I left for $300. Guess what? They accidentally put it on someone else account and lost the the check. SUPPOSEDLY. So they wanted me to give them another check why they look for the other one. Yea right. Glad I video recorded him saying this, and kept my check stub. Oh yea. Most of their apartments has bugs. Just fyi."
"Called to find details on a house they had listed for sale. The lady who answered the phone was very short and rude. She said the listing agent was out and I asked if I could speak to someone else for general information on the property and she said no. She didn't offer the listing agents cell phone number, email or anything else. Very sad because I was a very interested buyer for the property."
"My SO and I expressed interest in an apartment near Francis Park on March 30th. We explained that we really liked it, as long as the repairs were performed, including a toilet repair, new blinds and fixing a water leak. The landlord/owner, Brian Eichelberger of Eichelberger Realty, said no problem. So we sent the application right away and were approved on April 11th. Brian said he had his workers out that day to start on the repairs. The reason for our move? We're having a baby and are due in June! We want to stay near St. Louis Hills because we love the area and think it's a great place to raise a family. We just needed something bigger than what we're in right now, also in St. Louis Hills. Brian sent a draft of the lease on April 11th and had terms that needed updating, including the price. The price was supposed to be higher. No big deal, it was a draft. We were told we could move the big furniture in on the 23rd, since we had help available then. We received an updated lease on the 24th and were ready to sign as long as the repairs were done. On the 25th, we met up to sign at the apartment, with some, but not all repairs done. We were understanding that some repairs take time, so as long as it was notated in the lease that those particular repairs would be performed, we would sign. The toilet tank was wobbly and was slow to flush, and the painting where the leak was still had to be done. Brian said we would just have to take his word for it that it would be finished. I replied that if that's the case, I don't feel comfortable signing the lease until the work is performed. Brian followed with, "At some point there's going to have to be some mutual trust. You know, I let you guys move your furniture in early." Almost over the course of a full month, we kept hearing that his workers were there completing the work, but it never was fully finished. We were there three times: March 30th, April 23rd, and April 25th. On April 26th, one day before we were supposed to fully move in, Brian emailed back that he decided he doesn't want us to rent from him, because of lack of mutual trust. I don't understand why he let a toilet and paint job get in the way of leasing out to two professionals, with excellent credit, and a long flawless rental history. What was the harm in putting those two things into the lease to make sure they would be done? So we had to move all the big furniture out on the evening of April 28th, since that was the only time we had available. That weekend, we had a baby moon scheduled to celebrate everything being completed. We still had it, just not with a lease signed. We also sold our washer and dryer at our old place, scheduled utilities and rental insurance to switch. We had to switch all that back and extend our lease at our current place, and now lack a washer and dryer that we lost money on by selling. Brian radically changed his mind at a very critical time in our lives and didn't complete the work he stated would be done almost one month ago. If that's the way he was before the lease, we're glad we didn't sign."
