"I wish I could give a negative star. My Mother passed in May, within a day or two of her death Bank of America had locked access to my her account even before we gave them her Death Cert (they said they are alerted with every death for security reasons?). This caused multiple problems as she had many bills on paperless billing auto pay and I had not had a chance to see what was being paid and got stuck paying late charges. On top of that, I was named POD on my her account and have jumped through every hoop they have thrown at me for the last 11 weeks to get the money. They were given everything requested back in May. The last two times I went in person a month ago and was told I had to have an appointment before they could talk to me and they made me make an appointment. I was at the bank for over 30 minutes and the "only person that could help me" was just standing in the lobby because his appt was a no show. When I inquired about this person sitting in his office with no customers the fill in manager took me in to talk to Floyd, he read the notes and we got everything setup for the following week, I wasn't happy about it but I followed the rules and returned at my appointed time. Floyd the person I had the appt with had an emergency and wasn't there & Hanna was filling in, I explained the situation all over again, she would not read the notes, and spent the majority of the time on phone with the estate dept to be told the same thing that was noted. Then the manager had enough gall to tell me my appointment time was up and there was nothing they could do for me that day and I would have to make ANOTHER appointment to come back AGAIN to get the money owed to me. I live over a hour away from the bank so I allowed them to expedite a check to me that was to take 10-12 days with a guaranteed follow-up call by the bank manager and Hanna. It has now been over 3 weeks with no check or calls regarding why this money wasn't sent. I cannot get anyone to answer the phone and only option is to drive another 2 hour round trip for probably nothing but at this point I do not know what else to do but to ward others if they are considering this bank. MAKE SURE you have a POD or someone listed on your account, you still will not get your money but at least you have a fighting chance."
"If I could give no stars, I would. This bank is an absolute joke. Their employees know nothing they should nor could send us in the direction of someone with answers. Surely don't ask a Mary for help there. She's extremely judgemental and apparently can't keep her biases to herself. She should not have any management position nor any position handling with customers on a personal basis. This bank shouldn't even be open with how they treat customers. No wonder they have such low ratings online. Word of mouth really shows. Maybe they'll start treating people better."
"ORIGINAL REVIEW "My experience with Bank of America has been the worst I've encountered with any bank. They do not keep the drive-through window open and hardly have any employees available. Whenever I try to call to inquire about my account, there is never a single representative at the bank location willing to pick up my call. It seems they have better things to do. When I go in person to resolve these issues, one of the few employees there explains that they cannot help me and that I need to call one of the directory numbers for Bank of America to resolve the issue. However, whenever I try to call any of the directory numbers, their directory is useless. I've tried getting through it 10-plus times today, and it goes in loops of making me enter account numbers and saying it cannot help me. This is perhaps the most useless bank I have ever used. I once asked one of the few tellers why they do not use the drive-through window anymore, and they explained to me "they want people to come in person instead so they can make personal relationships". This seems like quite a fallacy considering they couldn't care less about me when I come in and provide little to no service to me despite the fact I keep my money with them. In addition to that, not having a drive through window and forcing disabled people to come inside doesn't sound verry convenient for elderly nore ADA compliant. The teller even noted that in that case they can go to the atm however i have heard many others speak about the ATM service being cumbersome and not always working to help resolve there issues. Just another excuse they have for shrugging off customers i suppose. Just another of many Bank of America institutions who could not care less about their customers and have zero appreciation for their business. I do not recommend anyone bank with this bank or any other Bank of America facility, as I have seen this be the case with many of their locations. After countless occasions of being shrugged off as though our business is nothing to them, I will be canceling all of my Bank of America accounts and banking elsewhere at a facility that actually cares about its customers." ((BANK OF AMERICA REPLY RESPONSE)) see below ((MY CONTINUED RESPONSE)) my below text Unfortunately google does not let me respond to your responses and i am only able to leave one review so i am instead sending this edit as my response. MY RESPONSE----While I understand that your financial center associates are not part of a call center, it is unacceptable that I am unable to speak with a representative when needed, especially as a customer who trusts your bank with my money. Directing me to a Twitter or Facebook page does not resolve my issues and only reinforces my point that Bank of America continues to avoid responsibility. It’s clear that this link is a default response given to many customers with concerns, rather than providing real, meaningful support. This seems to be quite clear as i read through the countless other reviews where you send the same link to frustrated clients who unfortunately cannot respond back. My experience remains unresolved, and I feel continuously shrugged off. It is essential that a bank prioritizes customer service, whether through adequate phone support or in-person assistance. This situation is particularly problematic for elderly and disabled customers who cannot easily navigate social media or visit in person. I urge Bank of America to take my feedback seriously and implement effective solutions to address customer needs directly, rather than deflecting to online links. Until then, I will be considering alternative banking options that value their customers and provide reliable support."
"Lazy managers stand around when there are 20 people in line . The two managers just stand there and greet people . This bank is terrible now! Switching banks this week! UPDATE: went in today and again, managers just stood around not helping their team while their team failed . 18 people in line and management, while doing absolutely NOTHING, refused to jump in and help their team. Terrible bank! So for the response from BOA on my last review, not everyone can use the ATM for their needs, maybe just stop being lazy and actually do your work and lead by example. No wonder BOA are closing everywhere . SO MANY 1 STAR REVIEWS and nothing is being done to fix the issues except for BOA responding on here with “so sorry for inconvenience let us connect you with someone”"
"I’ll give this branch full marks for Lauren and Floyd alone! I’m haven’t had the best experience with BoA as a whole, but this branch tried hard to get things done when internal policy made it difficult to do so."
