Tamms, with its welcoming slogan "A good place to live," was the site of the first "Super Max" prison. East Cape Girardeau, located on the Illinois side of Cape Girardeau, offers a scenic view along the Mississippi River. McClure is celebrated for its strong wheat farming community, and Olive Branch was once hailed as the "Goose Capital of the World."
