Even though he was a large dog, they handled him as though he were a member of their own family in picking him up in a thick bag, and taking him to their covered truck. "When we had to put our cat to sleep we weren't really sure how to proceed. I'd never lost a "big" pet before (bigger than a bird or a guinea pig). Because of vet bills we weren't able to afford anything too expensive, and we couldn't bury him at our home because we rent.
