As we celebrated our 130th anniversary in April 2024, we continue to honor our rich history while looking forward to an inclusive and hopeful future.
Compton Heights Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a welcoming place of worship that embraces diversity and inclusivity. "This is a true "witness to the truth" church. They pray, they preach, for sure, but they act for peace, justice and lifting up all of the human family. My faith in the "Jesus story" is bolstered by having been in this place, and experiencing the love and witness of the members. I am not a member, not a Disciple, but this place is, I believe, what is the full flowering of the Holy Spirit, this day, and at this time in history. I am blessed by being a tiny part of this designated "safe Church." Thank you."
