Reviews
"While not an enormous lake, this small body of water creates a visual boundary of sorts between Forest Park and the large city buildings across Kingshighway Blvd. It is allegedly stocked with fish, so you will sometimes find people fishing here. Like many parts of the park, it's a good spot to sit and relax."
"Jefferson Lake is a great place to go fishing if you live close to Forest Park. It’s got large banks that make it good for picnics and setting up folding chairs. The fishing is pretty good if you go at the right times. I’ve had luck fly fishing in some of the shallows where there’s a lot of water plants. Take sunscreen because while there are trees in some areas most of the fishing areas are uncovered."
"I bass fish here regularly and have caught some nice ones."
"Fished here for about 4 hours, used skipjack and stink bait with no luck. They say this lake is stocked but we had no luck."
"I love sitting at the benches here and just stare into the lake. It's also a pretty enjoyable walk around the lake. I use to come here frequently to take my mind off of school. Had a lot of great talks with friends while enjoying the view. It can get crowded in this area specifically, but it's not too bad. On weekends I sometimes see people come here to paint. Always wanted to do so, but never got an opportunity."
