Gibson Heights United Presbyterian Church
About the Business
Welcome to Gibson Heights United Presbyterian Church, a welcoming and progressive place of worship located at 1075 South Taylor Avenue in the vibrant neighborhood of Forest Park Southeast, also known as "The Grove," in St. Louis, Missouri. As a proud member of the Presbyterian Church of the United States of America (PCUSA), our congregation is dedicated to living out Christ's call to "Love one another" as we gather for hymns and fellowship every Sunday at 10 AM.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we kindly ask visitors to wear a mask and allow their temperature to be taken at the door to ensure the safety and well-being of all attendees. Our church is committed to social justice and reconciliation, as reflected in our support for initiatives such as the 2022 PCUSA report on ending systemic racism and the creation of the LGBTQIA Equity Advocacy Committee.
Gibson Heights is also home to "A Call to Conscience," an interactive theater collective led by our very own Fannie Lebby. This nonprofit organization uses multimedia formats to explore historical themes and the struggles of the oppressed through powerful performances. We invite you to join us for upcoming productions, including "Functional: The Thelonious Monk Story" and "Say it Flo," showcasing at the St. Louis National Blues Museum.
Join us through the entrance on Arco Avenue, under the green awning marked "The Upper Room," and become part of our mission to create a more loving and equitable world. All are welcome here at Gibson Heights United Presbyterian Church.
