"Peaceful place to be. Highly recommend for dharma learning and meditation"
"Ya ever been a new person at something who, after a while, felt like they absolutely did not belong in an environment/dynamic where it seemed like everyone else around you was just hitting it off with one another right off the bat (and in an environment/dynamic you perceived was SUPPOSEDLY built to foster that shared aura of love and compassion)? The group sits down to a meal after meditation. I stayed to "fellowship" and break bread afterwards a few times and, in every instance -- especially if I spoke up in agreement or related to what another participant was talking about -- I'd get these side glances or ignored like I had three heads. Now, it could just have been the way oversensitive empath part of me reacting to those feelings at the time, but I seriously don't believe I'd ever felt more excluded or let down as a "newbie" in an environment/dynamic in which exclusion is largely viewed as a negative attribute of being/learning about Buddhism."
"Wonderful people and so accepting. Metta and many blessings to Cherokee Buddhist temple."
