"Not sure why this park and Rabbit Run are considered two different parks. Why have a park inside another park? Even Glen Travis could be lumped in together with these two, and just consider the whole area one park. The trail is nice and scenery is pretty, but it's hard to tell which park you're in when taking pictures. There is a pond that may or may not actually be part of the parks or the trail. The public can walk along one side of it, but the trail is blocked off at the rest of it. The park boundaries are not clear, so it's difficult to determine which park you're technically in when walking. The best I could do is upload the pictures I took to my Adobe account, which shows on a map where they were taken. From Glen Travis/Rabbit Run, the Dardenne Greenway Trail leads to Jack Gettemeyer Park, and continues to Woodland Sports Park to the southwest. That walk was about a mile. To the north, the trail continues to Dardenne Park, which doesn't look very long."
"This is very quality natural area. A perfect place to see what nature should look like in the middle of suburbia"
"Technically, this park consists solely of the forested area and paved trail, which is part of the Dardenne Greenway, that begins near the Rabbit Run Park parking lot. It does not include the lake/pond north of it--that is private property (there are signs posted noting this). As best as I can tell, this park ends when you exit the forested pin oak swamp area; the native prairie alongside the trail there is part of the city's Jack Gettemeyer Park. The Greenway, however, can connect to the Woodlands Sports Park, as well as Dardenne Park and the city's golf course, both north of Mexico Rd. The aforementioned Rabbit Run is comprised of the baseball fields, basketball court, pavilion, and playground."
"Great time!"
"Beautiful place, lovely walking trail. Convenient location!"
