"Terribly long wait times at the clinic for 5 mins with the doctor, unorganized staff, no calling patients back in a timely manner, rude office staff, no follow through on office staff, difficult to work with. 0/10 reccomend. There is so many negatives- Don’t even waste the time going to Dr. Davis"
"Although the 4 star rating is being given, that's simply because I haven't even made any appointment yet but I have some questions that maybe someone from their office or others who have been there might could answer for me. I am using my friends account to protect my identity publicly but my initials are MJ and I was previously seen at Genesis East medical hospital in east Davenport Iowa where I had sustained a few injuries and was placed on medical leave by the ER physician that helped me that day, until further examination by a specialist doctor who would be calling me to set up an appointment in about 3 weeks or a month. I'm not sure why no one has called me back but maybe this is the type of specialist I need to see? I had a broken nose and injuries to my wrist. So bone issues would be my best guess. And just a bit of extra information that might be helpful to know now since that appointment is that I have become blind in one eye and I believe that my wrist injury now also has a cyst that definitely grows. Sometimes the cyst gets so big that it pops out of my wrist bone area into the beginning of my hand gets smaller but never goes away. It causes extra tension in my hand wrist and arm. I would best describe its pain to feel like something similar to tennis elbow sort of that goes to my shoulder. And one concern I have about the blindness is brain cancer or. I don't know much about medical electronics but whatever I was supposed to be waiting for the next phone call for was first discovered by a cat scan. And what I know about cat scans is that it's supposed to take pictures of soft tissues, but some how I was also diagnosed with a broken nose. I was previously laughed off about that by specific city officials though because an xray is what takes pictures of bones. He stated, "YEAH RIGHT, HOW DOES A CAT SCAN DETECT A BROKEN NOSE WHEN IT TAKES PICTURES OF SOFT TISSUES" Which I responded to with the fact that he needed to ask the doctor because that's what they told me. THAT SAME OFFICIALS ALSO CONFISCATED THE HOSPITAL PAPERWORK THAT HAD ALL THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT WHO TO CONTACT for all of these further issues. Is this the correct type of specialist I might need to have further diagnosis with? If not, could you tell me what type of specialist I SHOULD BE GETTING IN CONTACT WITH? I apologize in advance if this is a little difficult to understand but I need to see what I need to do or what type/s of doctors are appropriate for this type of situation. TIA, MJ. PS I WILL ALSO FOLLOW THIS COMMENT WITH A PRIVATE EMAIL ADDRESS ADDRESS THAT WILL CONTAIN MORE INFORMATION THAT WILL REFERENCE THIS POST IN THE RE SPACE"
"If I could give 0 stars I would. This office is a joke. The people are rude and the doctors don't know anything. The wait is ridiculous, expect to be sitting in the waiting room for hours before your appointment. The doctors and nurses do not listen. Not to mention they have forgotten multiple prescriptions that they were going to send in for me. Oh and if you owe money, they won't see you or your family until u pay off your bill, even if you have a plan set up."
"Just been assigned to this doctor. Not a great first introduction, the receptionist was nasty and very rude, my daughter had to wait all weekend to receive her medicine because the nurse practitioner forgot to send it. We didn't even meet the doctor they just threw us his assistant (probably why she forgot) On top of that they sent her medicine finally but to the wrong location. Now I have to drive across town just to get it. Need a new family doctor ASAP.. Do not recommend Just an update that they have improved tremendously!! My babies love it there now. Not sure if they read this review but they have been AWESOME every since!!"
"Our entire family has been going to Dr Davis for 3 years. When we relocated back to Davenport, I asked my mom for a family doctor recommendation. She works at the phlebotomy at Genesis and she gets to hear all the good and bad about all the area doctors. She looked through my insurance approved list and immediately said “Dr Davis! I don’t know what it is about him but his patients LOVE him. I’ve never heard one bad thing about him.” It only took one visit for us to find out why everyone loves him so much. There are a couple of negatives worth noting. The long wait time in the office is a little frustrating and his office staff is not the best. However, Dr Davis is AMAZING - even my crabby teenage son and husband love him. He takes his time with every patient (hence the long wait times) and he always puts patient health over the insurance pocketbooks. He is hesitant to prescribe medication just for the sake of band-aiding the problem. I would give this rating 100 stars if it was possible (but not for the front staff. You have to accept they are a 2.5 star staff). Dr Davis is a great family doctor and we are thankful for him."
